About GRAPA:
The Global Revenue Assurance Professional Association (GRAPA) is the largest standards and certification body for telecommunications revenue assurance in the world. GRAPA's membership exceeds 3500 members coming from 170 countries spread across 1500 operating companies. GRAPA publishes an internationally ratified standards book, and has distributed over 2700 copies of the 180 page edition for 2009. Based on the Body of Knowledge laid out in the standards, GRAPA also offers certification of individuals.
Job Description:
Membership numbers of the Global Revenue Assurance Professional Association are increasing rapidly and GRAPA is looking for a customer relations professional to serve as a membership manager in the South East Asia region. Regional membership managers act as a liaison between GRAPA members and the corporate office based in Chicago, IL in the United States. For this position we need an effective communicator who can build lasting relationships with a large network of telecommunication professionals. Furthermore, a high level of professionalism is needed, as this position requires extensive communication with high level executives in the telecommunication industry.
The ideal candidate does not need to have background knowledge of the telecommunications industry, as we provide him/her with the necessary training. However, a membership manager must have the skills necessary to accurately relay new GRAPA policies, procedures, and certification information to the membership. Additionally, we require an individual who can explain the questions and concerns of regional members back to the corporate office.
Membership managers are also responsible for maintenance of a membership database, which they will be expected to update daily. For this reason, we expect the ideal candidate to be comfortable with database software and have basic computer and technical skills.
Duties:
· Build and cultivate relationships with the South East Asia network of GRAPA telecommunications professionals
· Act as a liaison between regional members and the corporate office, i.e., answer or relay member questions, explain new GRAPA initiatives or certification procedures, ensure that members fully understand the purpose, benefits, and methods of GRAPA
· Assist GRAPA members through the certification process: Inform members about upcoming training events, notify the Corporate office when a member is interested in a training event, ensure members have sent us the appropriate documentation necessary to certify, communicate with them after the certification training for follow-up, etc.
· Be the eyes and ears of GRAPA in the South East Asia region: pass along useful information you have learned from your members along to GRAPA corporate so that we can review and adjust our policies appropriately
· Daily update member records, log communications and alter member certification progress and status through a membership database
Requirements:
Communication Skills
· Polished and effective oral and written communication skills and mastery of the English language
· Ability to communicate in another language of the region, Mandarin or Bahasa is a plus
· Must be able to communicate with the Chicago Corporate Office on a daily basis
Computer Skills
· Must provide your own computer with dependable internet access and Microsoft Office (including outlook) applications
· Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, with special emphasis on Excel and Outlook
· Prior experience working with ACT or other database software is a plus
· Must be comfortable with Skype and be able to use it as a primary tool for phone conversations and meetings
Professionalism and Relationship Management Skills
· Must be able to represent GRAPA in a professional manner
· Must have an understanding of cultural distinctions within your area and utilize this information to maintain relationships
· Must be comfortable making calls for GRAPA within your region in order to cultivate relationships and encourage certification to members (this may occasionally involve cold calling)
· Must be comfortable conducting correspondences and phone conversations with high level professionals
· Must be able to address members’ concerns in a time efficient and accurate manner |
