Job Description
1) Travel: Up to 25% travelling 2 days a week
2) The Oracle Technical Evangelist will improve the effectiveness and success against Oracle within a geographic area by driving sales pipeline creation and supporting tactical sales activity for Cognos business intelligence (BI) and performance management (PM) solutions when Oracle is a competitor.
3) Define and execute activities with the account sales team to proactively secure and expand the Cognos footprint in existing Cognos customers who also own Oracle.
4) Create and run internal presales and partner virtual communities focused on effectively competing against Oracle.
5) Support lead generation programs (through content creation, presenting in seminars, staffing booths at conferences, etc.) that target Oracle customers.
6) Build and maintain presentation, cheat sheets, enablement material, champion kits, etc. in support of presales efforts in the ORACLE market.
7) Collect and communicate field feedback to enhance the overall Cognos strategy against Oracle.
Required skills
• 4+ years experience working at Oracle or targeting Oracle customers.
• Extensive knowledge of Oracle BI and/or Hyperion solutions, including go-to-market strategy and future roadmap.
• 3+ years experience with Business Intelligence, Performance Management, and/or Financial Performance Management. Experience with Cognos a plus.
• 3+ years experience in sales, presales, professional services, or customer advocacy.
• Proven capabilities in developing and packaging material for sales and partners.
• Successful track record working in a cross-functional team to drive a strategic initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• High-energy, driven, self-motivated with a commitment to excellence.
